The Role
We are looking for an experienced Group Account Director or equivalent level to support a content studio team on an entertainment client, from the moment briefs are received, all the way through to delivery.
This role positions you as a client partner, demonstrating your leadership, strategic direction, accountability, and vision for their business. It is also a hands-on role, digging into the day-to-day details with the broader team and bringing best practices to work. As part of the day-to-day leadership team, you’ll be working alongside the Operations Director and ECD and representing T&P/WPP to the client.
We’re looking for someone interested in growth – both in securing new relationships and opportunities for the agency, and also being a strong partner to clients in helping develop their subscription business - through strong one-to-one marketing and brand comms and activation.
The team is based out of the client’s office in NYC, and this role is an average of 4 days a week onsite (1 of those days is often at T&P HQ).
Responsibilities:
Build strong relationships with multiple senior client leaders through a demonstration of industry knowledge and of the application to business challenges.
Build a strong relationship and partnership with the Operations Director and ECD - and be supportive of one another.
Actively manage the day-to-day client-facing team and dive into project details with the broader working team, bringing best practices to the work.
Navigate and connect insights across multifaceted, siloed client channels to provide a multi-channel view, and stitch them together
Know and understand the client mandatories and regulations which must be adhered to in response to each brief.
Responsible for meeting business KPIs.
Understand and drive the strategic vision.
Serve as the key contact for partner agency leads and external client partners (e.g., PR, Media, etc.).
Work closely with all disciplines (Strategy, Creative, Media, Production etc.) to foster excellence in all deliverables.
Champion the use of AI where appropriate, particularly in cutting-edge creative.
Protect the creative integrity of ideas or solutions from internal or external factors, from conception through to delivery.
Skills and Experience:
Must have substantial previous agency experience at appropriate level
Strong social-first experience.
Experience working with high-volume, complex businesses with multiple business lines and a multi-agency environment
Ideally experience working on a client with a subscription layer (e.g., loyalty programs, entertainment platforms, direct marketing).
Understanding of the entertainment industry and experience working with talent is a plus.
Ability to manage, develop, motivate and mentor junior team members.
Proven ability in growth, expanding client accounts and securing new opportunities
Understanding of measurement frameworks and their integration into the broader marketing ecosystem.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Interest in AI and technology developments, and an understanding of how to integrate its use into creative work
The pay range for this role is $180,000-$200,000K. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor. Salary is subject to change based on factors such as geographic location and cost of living in location of hire. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
