Junior Designer (18-month Fixed Term Contract
The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Junior Designer to contribute to visually compelling designs for our clients' brands, with a focus on learning to leverage WPP Open for seamless, multi-platform creative experiences.
This role offers the opportunity to develop foundational visual design skills under close senior guidance, assist in preparing assets for delivery, and contribute to brainstorming and concept development. Key Responsibilities:
Visual Design & Asset Creation:
Assist in developing visual designs for various marketing materials under the close guidance of senior designers.
Support the preparation of design assets for final delivery across different platforms (digital, print, social, etc.).
Learn to ensure designs adhere to brand guidelines and technical specifications.
Conceptualisation & Collaboration:
Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and assist in developing creative concepts.
Learn to translate insights and briefs into visually appealing ideas and design solutions.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including creative, strategy, and account.
Learning & Development:
Support the use of Figma design systems and actively learn automation features within design tools.
Learn to leverage WPP Open for data insights, specialist collaboration, and workflow streamlining.
Develop a foundational understanding and guardianship of our clients' brands and their visual identities.
Manage time effectively and adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Foundational Understanding of Design Principles: You possess a basic knowledge of design principles, including typography, colour theory, layout, and composition, or a strong willingness to learn.
Keen Eye for Detail: You have a meticulous approach to design, ensuring accuracy and precision in all visual outputs, even at an early stage.
Willingness to Learn Figma and WPP Open: You are eager to learn and become proficient in new design tools and platforms, particularly Figma and WPP Open.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite: You have a basic understanding or some experience with industry-standard design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Adaptable: You are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and can adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
