The Role
We are looking for an Account Manager to support a content studio team on an entertainment client, assisting in the management of projects from the moment briefs are received all the way through to delivery.
This role requires you to be a key contributor in learning agency processes and supporting client relationships. In this hands-on position, you will execute project tasks from inception to delivery, fostering positive client partnerships. You will play an active role in performance creative, contributing to the development and supporting the execution of comprehensive direct marketing strategies across channels like email, SMS, and direct-response digital. Your focus will be on understanding and contributing to customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value. You will be instrumental in helping to ensure smooth operations, safeguarding creative integrity, and learning to leverage AI-based tools to achieve the best possible results.
This is a high-impact role that requires strong communication, an eagerness for strategic thinking, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be passionate about understanding our clients' businesses, and you will thrive on building strong, collaborative relationships both internally and with our clients. We’re looking for someone with some foundational experience, a strong interest in continuous growth, and hungry to learn.
The team is based out of the client’s office in NYC, and this role is an average of 4 days a week onsite (1 of those days is often at T&P HQ).
Role Expectations:
Client Relationship Management: Serve as a direct client contact, fostering positive relationships across multiple projects through regular communication and proactive engagement, ensuring accurate and timely follow-up.
Project & Campaign Management: Actively support the management of projects from conception to delivery, collaborating closely with the Group Account Director and other team leads. Keep all stakeholders (internal and client) informed on project status, activities, deadlines, and deliverables. Develop a clear understanding of the production process from start to finish.
Operational Excellence & Financial Support: Maintain thorough documentation of all client work in progress, including status reports, contact reports, and post-mortem learnings. Support accurate and up-to-date account finances (e.g., estimate management, time reconciliation, timely billing). Understand and apply agency processes, while also identifying and suggesting areas for improvement.
Creative Integrity & Collaboration: You will actively support the championing and protection of creative integrity for ideas and solutions, ensuring they adhere to performance creative best practices from conception through delivery. You'll collaborate effectively with all disciplines to ensure excellence in deliverables. When reviewing creative work, you'll provide informed feedback aligned with briefs, client input, and a developing understanding of performance creative best practices. You will also work closely with data analysts and media teams to support content performance optimization and implement revisions, always striving for both creative impact and measurable results.
AI & Innovation: Demonstrate a keen interest in, and willingness to learn to leverage, AI-based tools and technology to enhance client strategies and optimize project outcomes.
Performance Digital & Social Fluency: Possess a good working knowledge of the digital and social landscape, with a particular focus on performance-driven channels like email, SMS, and direct marketing (DM). You'll learn to apply platform-native thinking, explore emerging technologies, and understand how to contribute to optimizing these channels for measurable business outcomes.
Prioritization: Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, able to prioritize effectively, sometimes against immediate client desires, to ensure the right things get done.
Adaptability: Demonstrate a willingness to engage in any task, and a commitment to continuous learning.
Required Experience:
2-4 years of previous agency experience in an account management or account executive role.
Relevant social-first experience.
Exposure to Direct Marketing (DM) and 1:1 communication strategies.
Experience supporting high-volume, complex businesses with multiple business lines and a multi-agency environment.
Ideally, some exposure to working on a client with a subscription layer (e.g., loyalty programs, entertainment platforms, direct marketing).
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent active listening and time management skills.
A genuine interest in AI and technology developments, and an understanding of how to integrate its use into creative work.
The pay range for this role is $70,000- $80,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor. Salary is subject to change based on factors such as geographic location and cost of living in location of hire. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
