Junior Copywriter
Who is T&P?
T&P is the world’s only truly full-service independent agency network, combining the energy and agility of a partner-owned business with the scale and strength of our alliance with WPP.
We believe in The Power of &, bringing diverse talent together to transform the way great brands are built. Our teams blend creative, media, experience and technology specialists from across our marketing practices. The performance mindset of these teams optimises for business outcomes in every channel, fueled by the latest innovations in AI.
Ultimately, of course, we are our people. They’re the most important part of our business, so we want to make a lasting impression on them in the same way they do on us, by striving to become the most important place in their careers.
That’s why we do our best to build strong communities around them; provide the best possible opportunities for them to develop & grow; and empower them to make a difference to their clients and the world at large. Our strengths often lie in our differences, so we challenge and champion each other and our clients to be the very best we can be.
About the role:
We’re looking for a special talent—a diamond in the rough—who brings writerly craft plus maker energy. You’re a writer first, but you’re also comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help concept social-first ideas, lightly art direct, shoot quick photo/video, or collaborate with creators if it makes the work better. You bring contagious enthusiasm for advertising, learn fast, and help turn strong ideas into work people notice.
You must be deeply involved in popular culture and know how to influence it. Ideally you have 0-2 years of experience in the advertising industry - perhaps from previous intern roles but this is not a pre-requisite if you can show great spec work. Most importantly, your love for what you do must always come through in your work.
Responsibilities:
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Write headlines and body copy, scripts, social, email/CRM, and web; partner with art/design; present work; proof/QA; and help iterate based on performance and feedback.
- Participate in briefs, product group meetings, and presentations to clients..
- Work with production to develop solid conceptual ideas and formats that achieve strategic objectives and maximize budget.
- Present concepts to the creative director, account group and client for discussion/approval.
- Be a positive force within the agency.
Who you are:
You’ve put some words on the board. Experience can come in all forms, but if we had to pick a number, you’ve been writing (agency, in-house, or freelance) for 0–2 years and have a portfolio of smart, well-crafted work.
You’re well versed in core tools. Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, Slack, and presentation tools like Keynote/PowerPoint are near and dear to your heart, but you have wandering eyes and are always willing to try something new if it makes the work better. If you experiment with Figma/Canva or Adobe CC, mobile editing apps (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Rush), cameras/lighting, SEO basics, analytics, or responsible AI-assisted writing, that’s a plus.
You’re a multi-hyphenate maker. While you’re a writer first, maybe you can also art direct. Maybe you’re a photographer or videographer. Maybe you’ve built a social following and have dabbled in creator/influencer work. You don’t need all of it—show us your unique combo.
You’re a problem solver. You enjoy breaking things down and approaching a problem from new and unique angles before you write your first line.
You believe specialization is for insects. You’ve got a growing portfolio of work but you’re not a one-trick pony. Headlines, body copy, scripts, social captions, emails/CRM, OOH/print, UX microcopy, naming—you’re humble in your approach and constantly undertaking new and unique ways to tackle writing problems.
You use words as a vehicle for change. You’re happy to take up the debate between clever vs. clear (or brand vs. performance), but at the end of the day, you can ideate and execute across brand voice, websites, content, and campaigns that move people.
You respect the craft. You care about tone, rhythm, grammar, and clarity. You self-edit ruthlessly, proof with precision, and write with inclusivity and accessibility in mind.
You’re a human and you’re you. You bring your own diverse and creative perspective to not only your work but also the T&P culture. You don’t claim to know everything and “curious” may as well be your middle name.
You’re confident expressing your opinion. You don’t have to be a director to have an opinion, and you can present your thinking clearly at any level.
You know that project management doesn’t just fall on the shoulder of one person. You’re organized and recognize the importance of deadlines. You have a passion for process—not just following it but helping shape new ones and evolve existing ones.
You know silos are great for farms but not creative practices. You embrace collaboration and are continuously striving for ways to work better, together.
T&P embraces and celebrates diversity, inclusivity, and equal opportunity. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. We are a worldwide creative agency that represents global clients. The more inclusive we are, the more brilliant work we can create together.
