The Creative Production Team at mFuse
The Creative Production team is the ‘engine room’ of the agency, encompassing our dedicated account management function. Led by the Business Director / Operations Lead, the team consists of an Account Director and an Account Manager. We work in tandem with the Performance Creative Strategy team (Client Lead and Account Director) to collectively deliver on briefs across our key workstreams:

We are a fast-paced, high-volume Creative Production team, operating with a robust and effective 'way of working' – initially developed for Virgin Money and mFuse – that ensures timely and high-quality delivery. With the agency having evolved so fast, in the last 6 years, we are always looking to ensure we have the right people, with the right skills and in the right place to ensure we can respond to Virgin Money (VM), recently merged with Nationwide (NBS), in a timely manner.
The Role: Account Manager, Virgin Money
As a key Account Manager at T&P, you'll be joining our dynamic mFuse team focused on our primary client, Virgin Money. We’re looking for someone – ideally with a minimum of 2 years agency experience – who can confidently come in with sleeves rolled up and ready to get involved!
This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong, collaborative client relationships and effectively managing the end-to-end delivery of projects within our new AI-native agency structure. You will be the reliable day-to-day contact for our clients, ensuring their expectations are met and that a high volume of projects is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standard.
This role requires a proactive and ambitious individual who embraces our AI-first approach, leveraging the DIPPAM workflow and the WPP Open platform to drive efficiency, unlock creative potential, and deliver exceptional results that contribute to client growth. You will report into the Business Director, and while you won't directly manage others, you will support the Account Director and team in scheduling work and ensuring seamless project progression. You'll be a 'wily chameleon' who is organised, thrives under pressure, and always thinks about the ‘bigger picture’: what’s right for the client and agency. You must also have the confidence to interact with senior/junior clients and the agency leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Management:
Serve as a reliable day-to-day point of contact for clients, building trust and ensuring project deliverables are aligned with their expectations.
Develop a foundational understanding of client business goals and marketing challenges, thinking critically about how our work can address them.
Support senior colleagues in selling creative work to clients by assisting with industry research and providing AI-generated stimulus and inspiration for briefs.
Proactively anticipate client needs and offer solutions, escalating issues where necessary to ensure smooth project progression.
Share relevant ideas and inspiration from other brands and the wider industry.
Assist in generating weekly/quarterly Performance Marketing activity packs to showcase the work we've done for clients.
High Volume Project Management & Delivery (AI-Enhanced):
Be a trusted client partner
Effectively manage a high volume of projects
Coordinate with internal cross-disciplinary teams within the wider agency ensuring clear communication of project requirements and tracking progress.
Utilise WPP Open and our suite of AI tools for project coordination, preparing materials, generating contact reports, and managing documentation.
Balance client needs with creative and media integrity, ensuring the agency's strategic and creative vision is upheld throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage all organisational aspects of the account, ensuring smooth workflow.
Embrace agency administration, ensuring the ‘SLA Tracker’ is 100% accurate, regularly updated, and that project timelines, statuses, and contact reports are meticulously maintained.
Commercial Acumen:
Develop a strong understanding of project budgets, ensuring accurate expense tracking and contributing to profitable project delivery.
Assist in managing project finances, including client Purchase Orders (POs), billing, and the opening and closing of job numbers.
Proactively flag potential budget overruns and work with senior team members to find solutions.
Identify opportunities for organic growth within your accounts by recognising where our AI-enhanced services can add further value.
Regularly report on the status of the client account to the Business Director and clients.
AI & Technology Adoption:
As we start to embed AI as part of our overall Creative Production practices, champion the use of WPP Open and other AI platforms within the team and in client work to drive efficiency and innovation.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and their application in marketing, sharing knowledge and contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
Leverage AI tools for tasks such as research, content generation, and performance analysis to enhance project outcomes.
What We’re Looking For (Key Skills & Experience):
Agency Experience: Minimum of 2 years of agency experience.
Client Management: Proven ability to build and maintain positive client relationships, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You can develop strong personal client relationships and conduct client meetings, often without the Account Director or Business Director present.
Project Management: Strong organisational skills with demonstrated experience managing a high volume of projects in an agency environment, ensuring on-time and on-budget completion. A solid understanding of the production process and appropriate paperwork is essential.
Commercial Acumen: A growing understanding of agency financials, including project budgets, profitability, and billing processes. You'll be 'buttoned down' with financial processes.
Strategic & Creative Nouse: The ability to understand client objectives and marketing challenges, contributing ideas and solutions that demonstrate commercial and brand understanding. You can collate and critique competitor activity to inform ongoing strategies.
AI & Tech Proficiency: A genuine interest in and willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, particularly AI tools and platforms like WPP Open, to enhance workflows and creative output.
Collaboration: A strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary, matrixed POD environment, fostering positive working relationships and managing up as well as down effectively.
Problem-Solving: A proactive and positive approach to identifying and resolving challenges, keeping projects on track and stakeholders informed.
Adaptability: A dynamic approach and 'start-up' mentality, able to adapt your style and thrive under pressure.
Media Understanding: Ability to understand and work with media plans.
Enthusiasm: Enthusiasm for the client’s business and taking a proactive interest in the industry.
