The Role
This role is responsible for implementing global operational processes locally, managing resource allocation, and serving as the primary contact for regional operational matters. The manager will ensure consistent and efficient delivery by facilitating collaboration between teams and leveraging the WPP Open platform and its AI capabilities to optimise workflows and forecasting.
Responsibilities
Act as the main operational point of contact for regional teams, ensuring smooth communication and workflow between local departments and global workstreams.
Implement global operational processes within the region, adapting them where necessary to ensure they are fit for the local market context.
Support regional resource allocation and capacity planning in collaboration with global operations, identifying local needs and flagging resourcing challenges.
Serve as the first point of escalation for all regional operational issues, ensuring they are resolved efficiently or routed to the correct global team with clarity.
Facilitate collaboration between regional and global teams, tracking performance, reviewing risks, and ensuring alignment with global standards to maintain integrated ways of working.
Support regional change implementation projects, ensuring new processes and tools, like WPP Open, are adopted successfully by local teams.
Utilise the WPP Open platform and its AI tools for predictive capacity modelling and utilisation forecasting to optimise resource deployment.
Key Skills
Resource Management. Proven experience in a workforce planning or resourcing role within a complex, global organisation, with a focus on operational execution.
Analytical & Commercial Acumen. Strong analytical skills combined with sharp commercial judgement to manage capacity, forecast utilisation, and make data-driven resourcing decisions.
Cultural Fluency and Adaptability. A deep understanding of business culture and market dynamics within the specific region, with the ability to adapt global models for local success.
Pragmatic Problem-Solving. Calm under pressure with a high level of attention to detail, capable of solving day-to-day operational problems and navigating campaign-specific issues with a solutions-focused mindset.
Innovation & AI Fluency. Expertise in using data and AI-powered tools, such as WPP Open, for predictive capacity modelling, utilisation forecasting, and optimising resource deployment.
Integrated Collaboration. A natural collaborator, able to work seamlessly with creative, strategy, media, and data teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
