The Role
The Senior Account Manager (Social & Paid) is a crucial day to day role within the Beat team, managing the organic social and paid display output for Vuse and Velo. The successful candidate will have experience in the concept, design and delivery of social and paid display content, as well as the ongoing autonomous management of that content with client (experience with social publishing tools such as Hootsuite is desired, but not essential). You will work closely with internal creative teams, external media teams, and client as a trusted and highly organised partner.
This is a six month FTC.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the design and delivery of the social media and paid display content plans and production output, following the strategically agreed franchise pillars, giving clear, decisive, and thoughtful direction on individual creative.
- Able to work confidently and autonomously, owning the organic social and paid display channel projects from brief to delivery.
- Thinks beyond the day-to-day into quarterly planning for longer term opportunities against the Vuse and Velo cycle plans. Brings rigour and insight to discussions and can refocus creative teams and clients with strong persuasion and negotiation skills. Considers any changes to ASA or client legal decisions on future work.
- Drives forward impactful creative, partnering with creative, planning and project management/production teams to set the work up for success, and always pushing for better. Works as organiser internally and externally for this workstream.
- Supporting the Social Account Director and Analytics team with monthly reporting requirements.
- Develops a strong relationship with the client – holds their own with senior stakeholders internally and externally.
- Solves most problems themselves but is also highly effective at managing upwards and raising issues of concern quickly.
Client Management and External Parties
- Maintain excellent client, external agency and internal team communication ensuring all parties are kept up to date on project status and implications regarding delays.
- Gain trust, authority and respect from the client at all times and strive to exceed their expectations.
- Develop an excellent understanding of the client’s business, brand and processes.
- Manage client and media agency expectations across all social and paid work.
- Be the ‘technical expert’ to client and creative teams regarding what is possible and achievable in organic social and paid display.
- Be able to act in a professional manner at all times and in stressful situations.
- Attend external client meetings, and meetings with other agencies when needed.
- Be aware of the bigger picture of the total account and share best practice with the team and the client.
Technology
- An understanding of Performance driven Social media & paid display production.
- Good understanding of data led initiatives and the processes involved.
- Support team members in the pursuit of delivering the highest standard of service to the client.
- Motivate and encourage the team so that together you strive to achieve client satisfaction in all you do.
Skills and Experience
- Creative planning and organising skills; ability to plan for all eventualities, provide solutions to issues and elevate creative.
- A passion for creative and on the pulse of industry trends and creative technology.
- Experience of delivering work across various social and paid platforms and guiding best practice knowledge on social and paid channels.
- Know and understand the client’s organisation and market.
- Ability to delegate work to achieve a high quality of output and to hit all deadlines.
- Experience in creating social content, digital design, creative adaptation and/or production processes and its costs.
- Understanding of how data is critical to social and paid campaigns.
