Who are we looking for
We are looking for an experienced Account Manager to be the champion of delivering great work (at pace), on time and on budget for one of our biggest clients - British American Tobacco - and their leading vape (Vuse) and nicotine pouch (Velo) brands.
Clients will view you as someone they inherently trust, who meets their expectations and with whom they can have an honest dialogue about making the work better. Your wider agency team will view you as a go-getter, who keeps everyone on track and communicates brilliantly whilst striving for the best creative product that the agency can produce.
The role will report into the UK Business Director and/or Account Director, and will work closely with other client service colleagues, strategy, project management and creative teams to help deliver projects.
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the campaigns, from client brief and internal triage, to resourcing, planning, creative development, design, client legal reviews and final delivery / asset management. The fast-paced nature of the account will suit someone who is proactive, an excellent communicator and enjoys working part of a team.
Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software is welcomed but not essential.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting the Account Director on all day-to-day projects for Vuse and Velo - be the client’s first port of call and conduit to the Beat Agency.
- Understand BAT’s omni-channel ecosystem, and what channels Beat is responsible for (eComm, CRM, Social, Paid).
- Identify resource requirements depending on brief and tasks and ensure resource booking are secured with studio manager. Ensure brief timings are clearly communicated, and the right team is booked to deliver the project. Escalating when projects don’t align to resource.
- Working closely with Strategy to ensure all relevant information has been supplied by the client, allowing us to formulate a planning response that aligns with their brief and wider business objectives.
- Stay up to date with the latest channel best practice, and work with Strategy, Creative and other partner agencies where relevant to deliver best-in-class work.
- Working closely with Project Management to deliver campaigns on time and on budget. Have complete understanding of project timings and next steps
- Checking all work against feedback before resupplying to the client and delivering quality control across the board to ensure work is correct and on brand.
- Keeping clients updated on the progress of projects, working with the AD to do this.
- Managing project estimates (where relevant), client POs all the way to reconciliation and filing approvals, working with an AD to do this
- Working with Strategy on research & competitor evaluations
- Update the status document on a daily basis and lead client status call
- Handle assigned tasks/projects in a timely manner.
- Measure, report on market performance and highlight best practice.
- Support Business Director with weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting and deck product where needed.
Key skills:
- Ideally have experience at an integrated agency.
- Experience in delivering projects for website, social, paid display and CRM - including knowledge of and a passion for email best practice and production
- Have meticulous attention to detail. A gatekeeper of the highest content quality.
- Have a real get-up-and-go ‘can-do’ attitude

- Have a real desire to work collaboratively within a strong team environment
- Be a confident communicator – both written and verbal
- Simplifying the process, getting to a good answer quicker.
- Be able to work seamlessly with internal and external colleagues and can work well with multiple stakeholders
- Possess good client and internal liaison skills
- Ability to manage internal resources (alongside planning and traffic functions), managing and liaising with third parties and partners (producers, production companies)
